getDare 2 - Terms of use
WELCOME TO GETDARE2
getdare2 is an unofficial replacement community created after the original getdare unexpectedly closed down. There was no official explanation for the shutdown and no backups of content or accounts exist — this is a fresh start.
ABOUT THE PLATFORM
The original getdare ran on an outdated vBulletin system. getdare2 is now powered by phpBB, which is free, modern, secure, and actively maintained. The site is still under construction, so expect design and feature changes over time.
AGE RESTRICTION & VERIFICATION (18+ ONLY)
Due to modern laws and platform responsibility, getdare2 is strictly 18+.
We do not require government ID, but we do require a verification selfie during registration.
Your selfie must show:
• Your face
• A handwritten sign containing: your username, the word "getdare2", and the current date
Account approval is at the discretion of admins and moderators. This policy exists to protect users and ensure the community can operate long-term.
GENERAL FORUM RULES
• Lurk before posting. Posts not in the spirit of getdare2 may be removed.
• One account per person. Ban evasions will result in all linked accounts being banned.
• Do not share account credentials with anyone.
• Users under 18 are not permitted to register.
• You must be 18 to post or reply in adult content areas.
• Posts must contribute meaningfully to discussions.
POSTING RULES
• Bumping threads is allowed only if you add something new.
• Avoid double posting; edit your previous post if possible.
• Padding posts to bypass minimum character rules may result in infractions.
• Keep discussions constructive and respectful.
CONTENT RULES
• No flaming or personal attacks.
• Use proper spelling and grammar where possible.
• No advertising external sites or services.
• Linked content must be appropriate for the discussion.
• Use private messages for sensitive or potentially offensive content.
• Safety and respect are expected at all times.
• Inappropriate contact between adults and minors will result in bans and possible reporting to authorities.
• Stay on topic; report rule-breaking rather than arguing publicly.
SUB-FORUM RULES
• Many sections have their own rules — read stickies before posting.
• Some forums require specific thread title formats.
• Post threads in the correct section.
IMAGES
• Do not request user pictures in public areas.
• Images related to dares (objects, diagrams, etc.) are allowed.
• Explicit adult material is not permitted on getdare2, including in private albums.
• Avatars and profile media must be suitable for general audiences.
SIGNATURES
• All global rules apply to signatures.
• Signatures must not be excessively large or distracting.
• Avatar rules apply to signature images.
REPORTING
• Use the Report button to flag problematic posts.
• Include a brief explanation in the report.
• Do not "backseat moderate" in threads — report privately instead.
CHAT
• Do not request or offer explicit images in public chat.
• Do not harass users into private messaging.
• Use the ignore/block feature if someone bothers you.
• If you feel harassed, contact a moderator with relevant details.
• Soliciting minors is strictly forbidden.
• Basic spelling is appreciated.
